After having obtained my bachelor’s degree from the University of Fribourg in 2020, I am currently a master’s student of French language and literature and philosophy at the University of Basel, where I am writing a master’s thesis about French writer Montaigne’s apprehension of pain.
I worked on the project “Le rire des vers” in 2021 as a student assistant, to help with the preparation of the vaudeville corpus. I improve the transcription of the versified “couplets” in OCR-generated texts of 19th Century French vaudeville plays, and format them with a first layer of xml annotations, for further digital analysis. Besides the field of digital humanities, I’m particularly interested in the French literature of the 16th and 17th centuries.
